We are a Corrugated Box Manufacturer located at Malerkotla, Punjab. We are manufacturing various two main products named Corrugated Boxes & Corrugated Sheets.

Coming to Corrugated Boxes, also known as Corrugated Cartons, we are manufacturing packaging boxes as per customers’ requirements. But broadly, it can be bunched into certain types of corrugated boxes. Those are 3 Ply corrugated boxes, 5 Ply corrugated boxes, die-cut boxes, custom-printed corrugated boxes, white boxes, and multi-depth boxes.

What is a Corrugated Box?

You are wondering that what is a corrugated box than we can come up with a single definition that when a flute paper which is made by compressing the Kraft containerboard in the shape of S arch and then sandwiched between the linear board with the help of the adhesive. This sheet is called a corrugated sheet and the box made out of it are called corrugated box.

Benefits of Corrugated Boxes?

Sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, the ridged flutes of corrugated paper are designed to support a great deal of weight. Not only is this beneficial for shipping purposes, but it also plays an important part in supporting the weight of food in pizza boxes.

Types of Corrugated Boxes-

All corrugated cardboard has a layer of corrugated fluting and at least one-liner. Fluting and liners can be combined in different layers to create different types. These are the common types of corrugated board used in packaging and shipping:

Single-phase corrugated
Single face board has only two layers, a liner layer, and a corrugated layer. It's not as durable as the other types of corrugated cardboard but is often used inside boxes to add extra cushioning. These are usually sold in form of corrugated rolls.

Single wall corrugated box
type of corrugated box consists of one sheet of corrugated medium which is glued and placed between two sheets of liner board. This type of corrugated box has multiple uses in retail industries and as shipping boxes.

Double wallboard
walled corrugated boxes consist of a two-layer of corrugated medium glued between three layers of liner board. Hence, it makes the box more rigid and can be used for packaging heavy products or products which are more delicate. This type of corrugated is widely used in the shipping of electronic products.

Triple wallboard
The triple wallboard is sturdy enough to be used in place of wooden crates. Three layers of fluting make this corrugated cardboard a dependable choice for shipping chemicals or items that need special handling.

Properties Of Corrugated Boxes-

There are various properties that help to measure the strength and quality of the corrugated boxes that are used to pack various goods. Busting factor, compressibility, hardness, tearing resistance, drop strength and other properties help a manufacturer to evaluate the strength of the packaging boxes. There are many tests to determine these properties such as :

Bursting Strength Test- Burst strength is testing a force that is applied to a corrugated board to measure the conditions that will cause the said board to rupture.

Flat crush test- In this test, the sample is placed in a flat horizontal position on the fixture, ridges, and furrows facing up. A load is applied from the top until the corrugated deform.

Edge crush test- ECT of the board addresses the storage and warehouse requirements more than the bursting strength of the board. ECT specified board can be made from a variety of basis weights for liners and a variety of calipers for the medium giving wider choice resulting in a cost-optimized corrugated board.
